Title: Cadaver Lab Assistant

Hours: Up to 5 hours/week

Wage: $16.34/hour

 

Job Description:

The following is a job description for the cadaver lab assistants. This list includes, but is not limited to, the following duties:

Maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the Lab (a sample of specific duties are listed below)
Changing out shrouds
Rotate sheets (every 2-3 quarters)
Open lab for groups of students at lunch or after school (recommended minimum three students to a group.)
Refilling chemicals and “watering” the cadavers
End of quarter “Spring Clean”
Assist with the Japanese Anatomy Program (when applicable.)
Reporting any incidents, keeping a tally of cleaning supplies for future purchase, updating inventory sheets and reporting of any equipment needing attention or replacement.
Wash/fold and keep organization of the protective lab coats
Other misc. lab maintenance tasks as assigned

Students must commit to two working quarters with approximately 5 hours per week. Training of daily procedures is required prior to commencing employment (approx. 1 hour.) Salary is $16 per hour and time cards apply.

Students with anatomy lab experience, or who have already taken regional anatomy classes preferred.

Applicant must be eligible for a federal work-study award.
