Role Trajectory
Take over the owner’s patient load over 12 months

About the Role
We are looking for an exceptional chiropractor to join our integrative wellness team in Wasilla, Alaska — and to grow into taking over the owner’s patient load over the next twelve months. This is not a typical associate position. It is a succession-track role for a clinician who wants to step into a thriving, established patient base, work alongside an integrated team of physical therapists, massage therapists, and support staff, and be part of something built around outcomes, not volume-for-volume’s-sake.

Altair has been serving the Mat-Su Valley since 2015. We specialize in precision upper cervical chiropractic, traumatic brain injury (TBI) recovery, and whole-family wellness. Our patient base is anchored by military Veterans referred through the VA and active Alaskan families who want a real partner in their long-term health. Our clinical philosophy is simple: we reset the nervous system, restore the body’s foundation, and renew our patients to their thriving selves.

“If C1 and C2 aren’t unlocked, the entire brainstem is restricted. No amount of full-spine adjusting fixes a problem that originates at the brainstem.”
Who We’re Looking For
The right candidate combines clinical excellence with humility, integrity, and a team-first mindset. You see chiropractic as part of a larger healing picture — not a solo act. You’re as comfortable consulting with a PT or massage therapist on a shared patient as you are delivering an adjustment. You take pride in precision, listen carefully, and treat the patient in front of you — not the technique you happen to prefer.

Required
•       Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree from an accredited program

•       Active or eligible Alaska state chiropractic licensure

•       Malpractice insurance (or eligibility to obtain)

•       Strong clinical communication skills — comfortable explaining findings to patients in plain language

•       Willingness to deliver care within a structured, integrated treatment plan model alongside PT, PTA, and massage therapy

•       Comfort working with military Veterans and patients with traumatic brain injuries, post-concussion symptoms, and complex neurological presentations

•       Ability to work efficiently within a 20-minute patient visit cadence without sacrificing clinical quality

Strongly Preferred
•       Training or certification in Blair Upper Cervical, Toggle Recoil, or SOT (Sacro-Occipital Technique)

•       Proficiency in Diversified, Activator, drop table, and flexion-distraction techniques

•       Experience with TBI, post-concussion syndrome, or complex neurological cases

•       Experience working in an integrated or multidisciplinary practice setting

We’re Willing to Train
We will invest in the right person. If you don’t currently have Blair Upper Cervical certification but you’re hungry to learn and you fit the rest of this description — we want to talk. The right attitude beats the right credentials every time.

Technique & Clinical Approach
Our practice is built on a core principle: precision upper cervical correction, delivered without forced rotation, paired with whatever full-spine technique best serves the individual patient.

•       Upper Cervical (Blair) with stress analysis: our primary focus. Non-rotational correction is the default — critical for TBI, post-concussion, and sensitive cervical patients.

•       Full-spine techniques: Diversified, Activator, drop table, and flexion-distraction are all in regular use. We match the technique to the patient — never the other way around.

•       Integrated care: many patients are on plans that include PT (delivered by our DPT and PTA) and massage therapy. You will collaborate routinely with these team members.

•       Postural correction: structured rehab progression is part of how we deliver lasting results, not just symptomatic relief.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
•       Conduct new patient examinations, including history, orthopedic, neurological, and chiropractic-specific assessments

•       Deliver structured Day 2 Reports of Findings to patients, presenting clinical findings, recommended care plans, and expected outcomes

•       Provide chiropractic care within insurance-aligned treatment plans (Foundation and Restoration programs)

•       Collaborate with the PT, PTA, and massage therapy team on shared patient care plans

•       Document thoroughly and accurately in our EHR (Tebra) for compliance and continuity of care

•       Work within Alaska State Chiropractic Board and insurance compliance requirements at all times

•       Refer patients to our sister company, Antara Wellness, when transformation-level care beyond insurance scope is appropriate

•       Participate in weekly team meetings and monthly all-staff meetings

•       Contribute to a clinical environment patients describe as a “sanctuary for the nervous system”

Schedule, Compensation & Benefits
•       Patient hours: 35 per week.

•       Schedule: Weekdays only. Weekends are protected for every member of our team — including you.

•       Visit cadence: 20-minute patient visits, three patients per hour, designed for efficient flow without compromising quality.

•       Base salary: $88,000–$100,000 depending on experience and credentials.

•       Performance bonus: structured incentive on top of base — details discussed in interview.

•       Growth path: this role is intentionally designed to transition into the owner’s patient load within 12 months. The selected candidate becomes a cornerstone of the practice’s future.

What Makes Altair Different
•       Specialized clinical focus: TBI and complex neurological cases. We treat patients who have been everywhere else and failed conventional care — and we get them better.

•       Integrated team model: chiropractic, PT, PTA, and massage under one roof, working off coordinated treatment plans. You will not be siloed.

•       Veteran-honored practice: we are proud to serve military Veterans and have an established VA referral relationship managed by a dedicated team member.

•       Sanctuary environment: patients consistently say our space feels calming the moment they walk in. We work hard to keep it that way.

•       Long-term patients: many of our patients have been with us for 15+ years. We build relationships, not transactions.

•       Community presence: monthly wellness events keep us connected to the Mat-Su Valley and bring new patients into the practice consistently.

Who This Role Is Not For
To save everyone’s time, here are the candidates who will not thrive at Altair:

•       “Crack-and-go” chiropractors who see the adjustment as the only intervention and the report of findings as a formality.

•       Anyone uncomfortable working with military Veterans, post-concussion patients, or complex TBI presentations.

•       Clinicians who require complete autonomy over treatment philosophy and won’t follow established clinical protocols.

•       Anyone unwilling to collaborate with PT, PTA, and massage therapy as integrated parts of patient care plans.

•       Big egos. We don’t have room for them. We have a team that genuinely likes each other and works as one — and we intend to keep it that way.

About Living in Wasilla, Alaska

If Alaska has been on your list, this is your invitation.
