SALARY: $333.33/month (flat rate: $1000/qtr.)

REPORTS TO: Diana Romo, Academic Counselor

HOURS: Up to 15 hours/week

QUALIFICATION: Good academic standing (3.0 G.P.A. preferred)

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serve as the face of the Mindfulness Program, embodying the goals and principles of improved self-awareness and wellbeing. Assist in the planning, development, implementation and monitoring a variety of mindfulness workshops. Develop unique programs that create awareness, motivation, and expression (i.e., acoustic music, yoga, meditation, movement with intention around acceptance, sound healing) in order to support the campus community in a healthy lifestyle. Responsible for maintaining contact with all College administration (including Student Life and Student Council) in order to maintain awareness of campus needs relating to wellness.

NECESSARY SKILLS:

Must be eligible for a Federal Work-Study Award (IWS if necessary).

Ability to work remotely
Attend weekly Mindfulness meetings
Monitor/Populate Facebook Mindfulness page
Attend workshops & assist facilitator as necessary
Post/Remove signs around campus the day of workshops
Speak at seminar, Student Council, Faculty Senate, etc. as necessary
Create/Modify/Disseminate digital & social media promotional materials
Maintain relationships with facilitators to confirm schedules, AV needs, etc.
Develop a network of resources & contacts for campus mindfulness activities
Develop quarterly schedule, which often involves working during school breaks.
